A comprehensive guide for reusing your move-in boxes

Hey, you. Yes, you!

I see you, just a poor college student trying to move in to your new dorm for the fall semester. As you unroll your new Bed Bath & Beyond mattress pad, you suddenly realize that you have absolutely no furniture to decorate your new space. But as tempting as that moth-eaten old couch on the side of the road looks, there’s better ways to adorn your squalid little apartment or dorm with the very items that you’re unpacking!

As your resident interior design specialist and cultivator of positive college dorm ambience, I am here to teach you what to do with all those pesky boxes from move-in.

1. Table and chair for enjoying your morning coffee and some light reading

Enjoy a relaxing morning watching the sun rise at your custom-made dining room table for one as you peruse whatever books you have lying around, like this beginning piano book I found.

2. Collapsible futon and/or sun lounger
